From 1975 to 1983, Glen Berry was enrolled as a college student at Brigham Young University, in Provo, Utah.  Glen graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in 1983, with a major in Art & Design.

His faculty mentors were Alex Darais, MFA, Professor of Design, and Mark Hamilton, Ph.D., Professor or Art & Architecture History.  Here are a few examples of Glen's undergraduate design work.

Kaleidoscope Blocks

Enamel paint on 24"x24"x10" plywood blocks

There are 4 blocks, with a pattern on 2 sides.  

Different patterns can be realized by moving the blocks around.

 

B.A. Final Design Project

Fibonacci Tiles- Automotive paint on 1/8" aluminum tiles ;  12"x12", 12"x24", 12"x36".  The tiles hang from the concrete columns in the main gallery of the Harris Fine Arts Center at BYU.

Displayed in the Harris Fine Arts Center 1983, 1984, 1985.  The Harris Fine Arts Center was designed by Architect, William Pereira, and constructed in 1964. Regrettably, it was demolished in 2023 to make way for a "new & improved" state-of-the-art fine arts center.
